Natid Kaveekornwong, known as Rice, appeared in My Engineer in 2020 as Tang. In 2026 he both directed and wrote Your Dear Daddy, a Channel 9 MCOT HD production financed across three companies at once. He studied cinema and digital media at Srinakarinwirot University and works as an acting coach.

A genre becomes an industry when it starts producing its own crew, and this is what that looks like from the inside. The first generation of Thai boys love was directed by people who came from general television and took a commission. Six years on, the person calling the shots is somebody who was in front of the camera in one of those early shows and knows the form from the actor’s side of it.

The coaching work sits in the same place. Thai productions cast a great many people with no formal training, and somebody has to close that gap during a compressed shooting schedule.

His birth date, birthplace, education, acting debut and directing debut are all documented. His agency is not, because nothing citable names one, and a director working across three production companies may not have one to name.
