Poori Siphrai
BIOGRAPHY
Poori Siphrai (Thai: ภูริ ศรีไพร), known professionally as Paul (พอล), is a Thai actor who appeared in two 2019 productions during the first wave of Thailand’s regional boys’ love output.
His principal credit is Nine (ไนน์) in Thank God It’s Friday (ขอบคุณวันสุข), also released internationally as TGIF The Series, across twelve episodes. Billed at the time as the first Isan-set Thai BL series, it followed a struggling Bangkok college music club that travels to Khon Kaen to train alongside an award-winning provincial programme. The production came from Space Jummy, TB Entertainment and Studio O Ha O, directed by Andy Rachit Kulsiriswat, the director behind Love Sick, and went out in a late-night Saturday slot on Channel One 31 from August 2019, with streaming distribution through LINE TV. Thai trade coverage at the launch reported that Chinese buyers had acquired the rights before the series aired.
The same year, he played one half of the central pairing in Film 4 of the Studio Oh Ha Oh BL anthology If I Love A Boy, opposite Ball Saranwut Chatjaratsaeng. No further screen credits are documented for him after 2019, and he has no publicly recorded agency affiliation.
BLGLFlix editorial view
He has two credits, both from 2019, and nothing since.
Poori Siphrai, who works as Paul, appeared in Thank God It’s Friday and in If I Love A Boy, both released in 2019, during the first wave of Thai boys love made outside the largest studios. Thai trade coverage billed the first of them as the earliest Thai series in the genre set in the Isan region.
A career that stops after one year is the most common outcome in this industry and the least written about. Small productions cast widely, a season is shot, and most of the people in it are never cast again, because a second job depends on somebody with a slate remembering you and almost nobody has a slate. The performers who continue are visible; the ones who do not simply stop generating records.
Recording that plainly is more honest than implying a career in progress. His years active field carries no end date, because nothing has been announced and people do return.
The Isan claim is worth keeping for a different reason. Regional Thai production, made outside Bangkok in a regional setting, was rare in 2019 and remains uncommon, and a first of any kind is a fact worth holding onto even when the careers around it did not continue.
A dated debut, a real name, both his names and his nationality are what the sources support.
