BIOGRAPHY
Jay Lin (Chinese: 林志杰) is a Taiwanese media executive and founder of Portico Media, the company behind GagaOOLala, Asia’s largest LGBTQ+ streaming platform. He serves as executive producer on the GagaOOLala GL drama Fragrance of the First Flower.
Beyond GagaOOLala, Lin founded the Taiwan International Queer Film Festival, HahaTai, GagaTai/LalaTai, and the Queermosa Awards, building one of the most extensive queer media ecosystems in Asia. Newsweek named him one of its “Top 15 Innovators of 2019,” and productions he has been involved with have won a Golden Horse Award for Best Short Film and Taipei Film Festival Best Feature honors.
Lin has built his career around expanding LGBTQ+ visibility in Taiwan and internationally, combining his roles as a media executive and advocate for queer representation on screen.
