SYNOPSIS

Check In to You (Korean title 너에게 체크인, romanized Neoege Chekeu-in) is a 2026 South Korean boys love body swap romantic comedy from the BL studio STRONGBERRY, directed by Kim Tae-wook. Running six short episodes, it takes a high concept fantasy premise and uses it to melt the distance between two men who could not be more different.

The story is set at Badam Stay, a cozy seaside guesthouse. Yoon Ji-oh (Kim Dong-won) is its warm, romantic manager, someone who pours his whole heart into keeping the place a peaceful refuge where anyone can rest. Cha Do-gyeong (Hwang Dong-hee) is the guesthouse's cold, profit driven new owner, a perfectionist who measures life in money, efficiency, and results, and who arrives planning to sell the property out from under Ji-oh. Their very first meeting is a clash of pure oil and water.

Then an unexpected accident throws their lives, quite literally, into each other's hands: the two men wake up to find their souls have swapped bodies. Forced to live as each other, the ruthless owner has to navigate a world built on care and hospitality, while the soft hearted manager is dropped into a life reduced to transactions and control. To make things worse, the only way back to their own bodies may be a kiss, which turns every moment of closeness into both a problem and a temptation.

What starts as chaos slowly becomes something tender. Trapped inside one another's circumstances, Do-gyeong and Ji-oh begin to understand the hidden scars behind the traits they first rejected, bickering all the way until they realize they have quietly fallen for each other. Supporting characters, including Secretary Ha (Song Won-yeop) and Geum Su-ji (Yu Young-eun), round out this compact enemies to lovers fantasy.

The series premiered on May 21, 2026 and ran through June 18, 2026, streaming globally on GagaOOLala and in Korea through Shortime. With its short form format, opposites attract comedy, and gradual emotional softening, Check In to You is a breezy, feel good entry in the Korean BL wave.
