Hwang Dong-hee (Korean: 황동희; born 26 February 1991) is a South Korean actor signed to K PLUS. He plays Cha Do-gyeong in Check In to You (2026), a six-episode Korean boys’ love series in which he is billed first.
Twenty screen credits stand on his record. They begin in 2015 with the period film The Treacherous (간신), where he is billed as a palace guard, and run through The Discloser (2017), Arthdal Chronicles (2019) as Lake North Na, Real Fighter (2020) as Tae-seong, Eve (2022) as Jerome, Lady Shaman (2022) as Bu Gye-seok, Chicken Nugget (2024) as Geo Se-byeong and Parasyte: The Grey (2024). He signed with K PLUS in July 2024.

Read how the characters are named and the shape of the career comes out at once. Eight of his twenty credits give him no name at all, only a function: Guard Warrior, Drinking Boyfriend, Vacation Soldier, Celebrity, Weirdo, Possessed Man, Agent, Club VIP. Two more carry no character name on the record whatsoever. Those are the parts a working actor takes for eleven years while waiting for a script to hand him a surname, and there is nothing unusual about it except how visible it is here.
Then there is 2026. Six of the twenty credits are dated to that single year, among them a fifty-four episode daily drama, a sixty-episode series and the boys’ love lead that brings him onto this site. Whatever the K PLUS signing changed, it took effect between July 2024 and the start of that run, and the difference is not subtle. Check In to You is the first title on his record where he heads the cast list rather than appearing somewhere down it.
Two corrections against earlier versions of this page. His debut was listed here under the transliteration Gansinhan, which is a rendering of the Korean title of The Treacherous rather than a separate film; the page now uses the release title. A claimed role in Alchemy of Souls: The Reckoning has been removed, because it does not appear on his credit record and we could not confirm it against a second source. My Goddess, also listed previously, is an alternative English title for Lady Shaman, not an additional credit.
