This page sets out how records and articles on blglflix.com are researched, what gets published, what does not, and who is allowed to influence any of it. It describes the method actually used, so that a reader can judge the archive by it.
1. Who writes here
Everything on this site is written and edited by one person, publishing under the name Renkaze. There is no contributor network, no syndicated feed and no automatically generated article text. Where structured data such as an air date or an episode count is pulled from a database, it is checked before it goes live, and the record says where it came from.
2. The sourcing rule
Sources are used in a fixed order, and the order does not change to suit a conclusion:
- The Movie Database (TMDB) for structural facts: identifiers, air dates, episode and season counts, runtimes, cast credits, production companies and networks.
- Official sources for anything the first cannot settle: the producer’s or broadcaster’s own site, the publisher’s product page, verified production accounts and press releases. Where an official source conflicts with a database on dates, schedules or casting, the official source wins.
- Reference encyclopaedias for biographical facts, award records and historical context, preferring statements that carry their own citations over statements that do not.
- Community drama databases for cross-checking only. Their text and images are not reproduced here, and a fact seen only in one of them is not published.
Before a conflict between two sources is called an error, the first question asked is whether they are counting different things. Two figures that look contradictory are often both correct, describing a broadcast run and a platform run, or a season and a total.
3. Unverified information is not published
A field that cannot be verified is left empty rather than estimated. An empty birth date on this site means no admissible source states it, not that nobody looked.
Where credible sources disagree, the page says so and names the difference, instead of quietly picking one and presenting it as settled.
Rumour, speculation, leaks with no named origin and single-source claims from anonymous accounts are not published as fact and are not published as hints. A record with an honest gap in it is worth more than a record filled in by guessing, and the gaps are visible on purpose.
Where a work is still airing, the record says what it is based on. A score is withheld where the work has not been seen through, and the page says that too rather than showing a number nobody has earned the right to give.
4. What is not written about people
Person records cover professional life. Relationships, health, family and finances are not published. An unsourceable field stays empty. On-screen pairings are described as professional collaboration and are never presented as a claim about anybody’s private relationship.
For any subject who appears to be a minor, birth dates, physical measurements, schools, places of residence and personal social accounts are omitted entirely. That another site has published such a detail is not a reason to publish it here.
5. Scores and reviews
An editorial score is one person’s judgement after watching or reading the work through the material available at the time of writing. It is not an average, it is kept separate from reader votes and from third-party user ratings, and it is revisited when a series concludes or a new season changes the picture. Age guidance on a record is an editorial classification written here to help a reader judge whether a work suits them. It is not a certificate from any ratings board and does not replace one.
6. Independence from commercial influence
There is no affiliation, partnership or sponsorship arrangement with any studio, agency, distributor, publisher or streaming platform mentioned anywhere on this site. Nothing here is paid placement. No rating has ever been influenced by anyone outside this site, and no coverage has ever been bought.
Placement in a list, a score, coverage at all, pre-publication access and the removal of a published correction are not for sale at any price, now or under any future commercial arrangement. No advertiser, distributor, agency or platform sees a draft before publication, is told a score in advance, or is offered a right of reply before a piece goes live. A request to change or soften editorial content is not treated as a commercial request and is answered under the Corrections Policy, against the sources.
7. Images
Image use is limited to one poster per record and one portrait per person, used to identify the work or the person the surrounding writing is about. Files are stored on this site’s own server rather than loaded from somebody else’s, and each one is meant to carry two credits: the source the file came from, and the rights holder who owns the work. Full detail, including what is done when a rights holder objects, is on the DMCA and Copyright Notice.
8. Getting it wrong
Errors are expected and reports of them are welcome. Every report is read within two business days, a confirmed error is fixed, and a published figure or claim that turns out to be wrong keeps a dated correction note on the page rather than being changed quietly.
