Blossom Campus
SYNOPSIS
Blossom Campus (블러썸 캠퍼스, Beulreosseom Kaempeoseu) is a 2024 South Korean BL campus mini-series that begins with an accident of timing. Kim Min-jae (Son Byeong-hoon) is a quiet transfer student majoring in practical music, working part-time shifts at the university library to support himself and keeping his head down in a place where he knows nobody. Lost on his first day, he is rescued by Yoon Chan (Choi Dong-ho), an outgoing taekwondo major who has volunteered to help disoriented newcomers find their way around campus. A simple set of directions turns into a second meeting, then a third, and the two settle into an easy rhythm of late library shifts, guitar practice and training-hall visits.
The more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to call what is happening between them friendship. Min-jae, drawn out of his shell for the first time in years, finds that Chan has become the fixed point of his week; Chan keeps finding reasons to be wherever Min-jae is. The balance tips when Jung Woo-hyuk (Kim Yong-sol), a freshman in the applied music department and a longtime admirer of Min-jae's playing, arrives on campus and makes his devotion impossible to ignore. His persistence turns a slow, unspoken thing into a question that demands an answer, and a run of miscommunications and half-swallowed confessions pushes both leads toward saying what they have been avoiding. Across six short episodes the series stays with that hesitation rather than rushing past it.
Directed by Kang Woo and produced by Matchbox in association with STRONGBERRY, the studio behind Long Time No See and Where Your Eyes Linger, Blossom Campus arrived on the Korean BL platform Heavenly on 16 May 2024, with all six episodes released at once and simultaneous streaming on GagaOOLala and, in select regions, iQIYI with English subtitles. STRONGBERRY later re-aired the full run on its official YouTube channel. Both leads were making their BL debuts, and the show leans on that freshness: a gentle, low-stakes campus romance about first attempts at honesty, built from small gestures rather than grand declarations. Its tone stays firmly in coming-of-age territory, and the university setting does much of the work, with lecture halls, corridors and practice rooms standing in for the small private world the two build. Each episode closes with a short cast interview, and the compact season ends on a note deliberately left open.
