Choi Yeo-un

Choi Yeo-un (Korean: 최여운) is a South Korean actor.
He appears in a guest role in the 2024 Korean boys’ love (BL) web drama Blossom Campus, playing an upperclassman who is a senior friend of lead character Yoon Chan. It is his only publicly documented acting credit to date.

The senior friend is one of the genre’s standing roles. Korean campus BL runs on the seniority system: who entered the university first decides how two people speak to each other, and a great deal of plot is generated by that alone.
Which is why a guest part defined purely as an upperclassman is not the throwaway it looks like. It is the character whose function is to remind the lead, and the audience, that the friendship has a hierarchy inside it. Thai and Taiwanese BL rarely needs the role, because their scripts are not built on the same rung system. The credit is small and the fact it exists is a genuine difference between national traditions.
