BIOGRAPHY

Nipitpon Muangsinun (Thai: นิพิฐพนธ์ เมืองสีนุ่น), known professionally as Snook, is a Thai director and artist manager working with Ultimate Troop. He studied at Thammasat University. Every one of his five directing credits is a boys’ love production.

He made his debut directing The Yearbook in July 2021, an eight-episode series on which he is also credited as screenwriter. He returned to the same material the following June for The Yearbook in its film version, again as director and writer.

He then directed Remember Me, fourteen episodes from October 2022, and Dinosaur Love, ten episodes from June 2023. His most recent credit is Lost to Light, which ran on GMM 25 between 20 June and 18 July 2026, and which he co-directed.

BLGLFlix editorial view

The detail on this page that is easy to skim past is the job title: he is a director and an artist manager at the same company. Those are usually two people. When they are one person, the actor being managed and the actor being cast are being decided by the same hand, and the career shaping and the creative shaping stop being separable.

We are not making an accusation with that. It is common in Thai BL, where production houses and management agencies are frequently the same legal entity, and there is nothing improper about it. It is worth writing down because it explains something readers notice and cannot account for: why the same small group of actors keeps reappearing across one director’s filmography. It is not casting instinct. It is a roster.

The other thing his record shows is a director who works entirely inside one genre. Five credits, five boys’ love productions, no crossover work at all. That is rarer than it sounds. Most directors we have profiled on this site have a queer title sitting inside a run of ordinary drama; his filmography has no outside.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who is Snook Nipitpon Muangsinun?

A Thai director and artist manager working with Ultimate Troop, who studied at Thammasat University. He has five directing credits on record, all of them boys’ love.

What has he directed?

The Yearbook (2021, eight episodes), the film version of The Yearbook (2022), Remember Me (2022, fourteen episodes), Dinosaur Love (2023, ten episodes) and Lost to Light (2026), which he co-directed.

Does he write as well as direct?

Yes, on The Yearbook. He is credited as screenwriter on the series and as writer on the film version.

Has he worked outside the genre?

Not on the public record. All five of his credits are boys’ love productions, which is unusual even among directors who work in the genre regularly.

What does an artist manager who also directs actually do?

Both jobs at the company: managing performers’ careers and directing the productions they appear in. In Thai boys’ love the production house and the management agency are often the same company, so the arrangement is common.
