There is a neat and slightly uncomfortable symmetry to this one. Dual Stars is a drama about two actors making a BL project under industry pressure, and the actors who made it are credited on the platform that sells it with their surnames cut down to an initial. Why is not documented. It could be a contractual arrangement, a regional-market decision, or simply an incomplete metadata entry nobody has gone back to fix. Inventing a reason is not an option. But it is the reason this page is short, and a reader deserves to know the gap sits in the distributor’s own record rather than in the research.

The production shape is worth pausing on too. A six episode run dropped all at once on iQIYI’s international arm, made by a company whose registration TMDB places in Canada, for a series recorded as Taiwanese in origin and shot in Mandarin. Both are named and neither is picked, because a platform page and a database disagreeing by ten days usually means one of them is recording a regional or staggered launch, and no source says which. The original title: TMDB records the Chinese title as 頂峰, while the iQIYI page carries no Chinese-character title at all. And the names themselves: Alan C. on the distributor’s page, Alan Chen in the database.

On the director credit: a “Momo” attribution circulates on third-party blogs, which on their own are not usable. The official iQIYI album page credits the director as Momo, with its own link to a platform profile, so the name rests on the distributor rather than on the blogs.

On classification: the platform applies a mature age gate to this series. That is a distribution control, not a national certificate, so it is translated into this site’s own vocabulary and the series is recorded as MA, an editorial classification, on the title’s page.

One last thing about identity, because this name is a trap. A search for Alan Chen returns several entirely unrelated people, including at least one other performer. Everything on this page is pinned to a single database person record whose only credit is this series, verified against the series’ own cast list. “(Dual Stars)” is kept in the page title deliberately so that nobody merges this record with somebody else’s.
