Teeraphong Pathumrat

Teeraphong Pathumrat (also credited as Teeraphong Prathumrat) is a Thai composer, credited as original music composer on Uranus 2324 (ยูเรนัส 2324, 2024) and on a run of the most significant Girls’ Love and Boys’ Love productions Thailand has made.

Nine credits, and eight of them shared

The Girls’ Love work is GAP (ทฤษฎีสีชมพู, 2022), twelve episodes, widely taken as Thailand’s first Girls’ Love series; My Marvellous Dream Is You (2024), twelve episodes; and the feature Uranus 2324 (2024). The Boys’ Love work is The Sign (ลางสังหรณ์, 2023), twelve episodes, My Sweetheart Jom (2025), and the horror film Pee Nak 3 (2022), which carries Boys’ Love classification on its own record. The remaining credits are Thai horror: Hoon Payon (2023), Panor (2025) and Pee Nak 5 (2026).

The striking thing is not the list. It is that eight of these nine credits also appear on another composer’s record, that of Ekkaphop Khioyasit, whose page we also hold. GAP, Pee Nak 3, Hoon Payon, The Sign, Uranus 2324, My Sweetheart Jom, Panor and Pee Nak 5 are shared. This is a scoring partnership, not two people who happened to be hired by the same companies.

BLGLFlix editorial view. On the other composer’s page we wrote that a large share of Thai queer television is scored by the same person, and that this is a literal reason those series feel alike. That was right in substance and wrong in the detail, and we would rather correct it here than leave it.

It is not one composer. It is two, working together, and the correction makes the point stronger rather than weaker. A single freelancer taking many jobs is a coincidence of scheduling. A standing pair of composers scoring GAP, then The Sign, then Uranus 2324, then My Marvellous Dream Is You, then My Sweetheart Jom is a house sound being built deliberately across two studios and both strands of the genre.

Our own read is that this is the most under-examined creative role in the whole field. When a Thai Girls’ Love series holds on a face for four seconds without dialogue, the thing carrying that shot is a score, and the same two people have written most of them. Fandom will debate a director’s framing for weeks and never name the composer. We would suggest that if you can identify a Thai queer series from thirty seconds of its soundtrack, you are recognising these two.

The one credit that is not shared is worth noting: My Marvellous Dream Is You, a Girls’ Love series adapted from a novel by Chao Planoy, whose own page here records eight adaptations. Even the exception connects back into the same small network.
