Kim Tae-hun

Kim Tae-hun (Korean: 김태훈, born 26 May 1975) is a South Korean actor from Gangnam-gu in Seoul, with around eighty screen credits and a parallel career on stage that goes back to the start.

He went to Banpo Elementary and Banpo Middle School in Seoul, then Kyungmoon High School, and studied in the Department of Theatre and Film at Hanyang University. He enrolled meaning to direct commercials. What changed his mind was joining the Hanyang Repertory theatre company in 1997, and he has worked in musicals and plays alongside screen roles ever since. He is the younger brother of the actor Kim Tae-woo.

His first leading film role came in 2006 in Way to Go, Rose, and independent cinema has stayed important to him: he has led The Pit and the Pendulum and When Winter Screams, and in 2009 won the Face of Short Films award at the seventh Asiana International Short Film Festival for Conversation with the Audience.

On television he has built the kind of record that makes a face familiar long before a name is. He appeared in Goodbye Solo (2006), King Geunchogo (2010), The Innocent Man (2012), Secret Door (2014), Bad Guys (2014) as Oh Jae-won, Angry Mom (2015), Reply 1988 (2015), Kingdom (2019) as Lee Kang-yoon, Be Melodramatic (2019), Record of Youth (2020) as Yoon Tae-ho, My Dearest (2023) as Choi Myeong-gil, My Demon (2023) as Noh Suk-min, Night Has Come (2023) and Confidence Queen (2025). In film he played Kim Chi-gon in The Man from Nowhere (2010).

In the BLGLFLIX catalogue he appears twice. He played Jung Woo-sung in the 2013 KBS drama Ilmarui Sunjeong, and he plays Yoo Tae-joon in the Girls’ Love series Friendly Rivalry (2025).
