Lee Ji-hae

BIOGRAPHY

Lee Ji-hae (Korean: 이지해; born 4 July 1980) is a South Korean character actor signed to Different Company, with twenty-one credits on record. Her work inside this site’s remit is a single episode of Love Class (2022), where she plays Ma Ru’s mother.

Almost everything on her record is a small part in a large production. She has appeared in Dr. Romantic (2016), Possessed (2019), It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (2020), Record of Youth (2020), Now, We Are Breaking Up (2021), Extraordinary Attorney Woo (2022), Behind Every Star (2022), A Killer Paradox (2024) and Beyond the Bar (2025), among others, and in the films Concrete Utopia (2023) and Incarnation (2025).

Her longer runs are Jo Seung-kyung across sixteen episodes of Possessed (2019), Park Soo-yeon across sixteen of Record of Youth (2020), Yook Jung-hwan’s mother across sixteen of Love All Play (2022), Director Jeong across sixteen of Crash Course in Romance (2023) and Lee Ji-hae, under her own name, across ten episodes of Number Woman Gye Sook Ja (2018). Her most recent credits are Song Ji-yeong in Love Phobia (February 2026) and parts in Filing for Love and Teach You a Lesson later that year.

BLGLFlix editorial view

She is on this site because of one episode, and that one episode is the least interesting thing about her. What her record documents is the working life of a Korean character actor: twenty-one credits in ten years, most of them one or two episodes, playing the mother, the wife, the employee, the parent at a book signing. Those parts have no fandom and almost no coverage, and the shows they hold up are some of the most watched Korean dramas of the period.

There is a detail here that only turns up if you read two filmographies side by side. In Love Class she plays the mother of Ma Ru, who is played by Lee Gwang-hee. The two of them then turn up in two more of the same productions, Filing for Love and Teach You a Lesson, both in 2026. Korean drama casting draws from a working pool small enough that a screen mother and son from a 2022 web series land on the same two call sheets four years later.

Two claims that circulate about her are not carried here: that she has been active since 2006, and a 2022 series that does not appear in her credit list. Neither is supported by a source this page can produce. The dating runs from her earliest verifiable credit, Dr. Romantic in November 2016.
