Xue Lang
BIOGRAPHY
Xue Lang (薛朗) is the creator and director of Lost to You (沦陷, 2026). It is the only credit on the public record for this director, and both parts of it, the creator credit and the directing credit, belong to that one series.
Lost to You ran twelve episodes of about forty minutes from 15 May 2026 and has finished airing. Its language is Mandarin, and TMDB records its origin countries as China and Singapore. GagaOOLala is the distributing network. No production company is listed on the record. The premise, as TMDB states it, follows a teenager who returns home with a terminal illness and forms a bond with a classmate the community treats as unlucky. Jia Yi and Tang Chengzhi lead as Zhan Wang and Xu Yuan, with Cui Yiqian, Yu Qi, Ke Xin and Zhang Ruiyi in the ensemble.
The series record carries the keywords coming of age, boys’ love (bl) and girls’ love (gl). Both queer classifications appear on the same title, which is unusual and is more likely a database inconsistency than a description of the show. This page reports the tags as they stand rather than choosing one.
TMDB holds no birth date, no birthplace, no biography and no linked accounts for Xue Lang, and its gender field is unset. A Wikipedia search returned an article for an unrelated subject of the same name, which has not been used. Those fields are left empty here.
BLGLFlix editorial view
Put this record beside the one directly next to it in our files and something appears that neither page shows on its own. Double Helix premiered on 8 May 2026. Lost to You premiered on 15 May 2026. Seven days apart. Both are Mandarin language BL. Both are recorded by TMDB with the same two origin countries, China and Singapore. Both went out through GagaOOLala. They share no director, no cast and no production company.
One China and Singapore co-production is a curiosity. Two, a week apart, from unrelated teams, is a route. Singapore has what a mainland producer of danmei needs and cannot get at home: a Mandarin speaking screen industry, an established television and streaming sector, and a separate regulatory jurisdiction. Thailand offers capacity but not the language. Taiwan offers the language and the platform but carries its own political weight. Singapore offers the language and a passport.
This site has traced the same movement twice before, on the Feng Nong profile and on the Li Yingyi one: openly classified Chinese danmei keeps being made, and keeps not being made as a mainland production. What is new here is that the destination has stopped varying. Two adjacent releases in a single week landed on the same arrangement. If that holds through the rest of 2026, the story of Chinese BL will have to be written as a story about co-production paperwork as much as about censorship.
As for the director, the honest position is that we know one thing: this person made a twelve episode series and is credited as having originated it as well as directed it. A creator credit alongside a directing credit on a debut means the show was this person’s idea, which is worth more than a paragraph of invented context about style. We would rather leave the page short in that respect than pad it.
