Thanaporn Phetcharas
BIOGRAPHY
Thanaporn Phetcharas (also credited as Thanaporn Petcharat; nicknamed Seh) is a Thai screenwriter whose television and film credits span more than half a decade of GMMTV and Thai drama productions.
She made her scriptwriting debut on the GMM25 sitcom Wake Up Ladies The Series (2018) and followed it with Beauty War The Series (2019) and Paint With Love (2021), before writing the boys’ love hit 46 Days (2021) alongside fellow screenwriter Kirati “Game” Khamsat, with whom she would go on to collaborate repeatedly.
Her more recent work includes Club Sapan Fine (2022), This I Promise You (2023), The Trainee (2024), and the horror-comedy Revamp: The Undead Story (2025). On the drama MuTeLuv (2025) she is credited as both writer and director. In 2026 she wrote the screenplay for GMMTV and Studio Wabi Sabi’s coming-of-age romance When Oranges Fall, again working alongside Kirati Khamsat.
As with many screenwriters working behind the scenes of Thai television, limited biographical detail about Thanaporn Phetcharas has been made public; her career is documented primarily through her produced credits rather than personal interviews.
BLGLFlix editorial view
Women write this genre and men direct it, and the numbers here say so.
Thanaporn Phetcharas, who works as Seh, has written for Thai television since 2018, most recently taking a 2026 credit on When Oranges Fall. She also directed the 2025 drama MuTeLuv from her own script, which is a crossing very few writers in this industry make.
Counting the crew profiles on this site where a gender is recorded, the writing credits run twenty two women to thirteen men, and the directing credits run thirty two men to nine women. Twenty nine names in each group have no gender on record, so the picture is partial, but the direction of the imbalance is not in doubt and it points the opposite way for the two jobs.
That is worth stating in a catalogue for a form whose readership, source novels and fan economy are overwhelmingly female. The stories are largely written by women and largely staged by men, and those are different kinds of authorship.
A writer who directs her own material closes that gap by one, and it also tends to produce a different finished thing, because nobody has to translate the intention between two people.
Her debut year, debut work, profession and skills are documented. No birth date or agency appears, which is the usual state of writers’ records here.
