When Oranges Fall (ต้นส้มอยู่บ้านเขา แต่ผลส้มหล่นมาบ้านเราตลอดเลย) unfolds in a 1990s Thai neighborhood where two boys are stuck with the same nickname. Krittin (Progress Passawish Thamasungkeeti), known to everyone as "Ko Neung" or Ko One, is quietly obsessed with the impossibly sweet oranges that keep dropping over the garden wall into his yard. The tree they come from belongs to Khanin (Almond Poomsuwan Suwansatit), called "Ko Song," Ko Two, the one classmate Ko One cannot stand. Same name, opposite temperaments: one open and easily delighted, the other guarded and prickly. Friends, teachers and relatives mix the two of them up constantly, which neither boy finds funny.

Day after day another orange tumbles across the wall, and a wordless trade of stolen fruit and smuggled snacks hardens into a routine, then a running argument, then a habit neither of them wants to break. The bickering is the point: affection keeps arriving disguised as irritation. Around the pair the series builds a genuinely likable schoolyard circle, with Augar (Ken Kanthee Limpitikranon), Achi (Paul Tanan Lohawatanakul), August (Justin Angus Moir) and their roommate Tle (Keaton Sitthithat Tungtisanon) supplying the noise and loyalty that let the leads hide whenever feelings get too obvious. At home, Ko One's mother and father (Sujira Arunpipat and Poothanate Hongmanop) and Teacher Kong (Thinnaphan Tantui) stand in for the adult world the boys are slowly outgrowing. As the two Kos grow up side by side, mutual annoyance softens into a first love neither is ready to say out loud, and the AlmondProgress pairing carries that shift in glances rather than declarations.

Directed by Siwaj Sawatmaneekul for GMMTV and Studio Wabi Sabi, the twelve-episode series adapts Littleskyofme's Thai web novel "Ton Som Yu Ban Khao Tae Phon Som Lon Ma Ban Rao Talot Loei," whose long original title describes precisely the situation at its heart: the tree is over there, the fruit always lands over here. It premiered on May 13, 2026 on GMM25 and streamed through the OneD app, airing weekly on Wednesdays at 20:30 with episodes running roughly 47 minutes. The 1990s setting is more than decoration; a pre-smartphone world lets the romance move at letter-writing speed, so small objects carry the weight that texting would flatten. The tone stays warm and unhurried, closer to slice-of-life comedy than melodrama, and the season works its way toward an answer without ever raising its voice.
