Summertime
SYNOPSIS
Summertime (하절기) is a Korean Boys' Love series on wavve, adapted from a web novel by I Ro-mil. Its premise is built on an asymmetry the viewer sees from the first minute and one of the two boys does not.
Yeo Eun-ho (Kim Do-min) and Cha Do-hyun (Seong In-ho) have been friends for nineteen years. Eun-ho reads Do-hyun better than anyone: he knows the flawless student everyone sees at school is a performance. What he has never once suspected is that Do-hyun has spent years in love with him, and has been managing the friendship carefully enough to keep that hidden while slowly working his way closer.
Then Kwon I-hyun (Lim Young-min) transfers in, and the arrangement Do-hyun had been running stops working. The series is less interested in whether Eun-ho finds out than in what Do-hyun is willing to do to stop him finding out from someone else. TMDB's own keyword set is blunt about the register: obsession, possession, possessive man, jealousy.
Ten episodes, two a week, from 27 August 2026, directed by Bae Yoon-seo with a screenplay by Jo Yong. Kim Do-min carries the same character into a companion series, Winter Season.
