What happens

Fool in Love (คนโง่รักเข(ล)า) is set in Bangkok, a fast rising commercial capital where money, power, fame and influence all meet on one glittering elite stage. Ing is the eldest son of the Jian family: proud, unruly, strikingly good looking and a genuine business prodigy. His success is so dazzling that it feeds a jealousy in his half-brother that borders on obsession.

Yok is the second son of the Li family, and he lives with the full weight of what his family expects from him. On the outside he is gentle and exceptionally intelligent. He is also a former reserve professional boxer, a side of himself that family pressure has kept firmly in check. Yok moves in the same circle as Ing's half-brother, which puts him right next to the rivalry that already runs through the Jian household.

Ing sets his sights on Yok and goes after him with the same drive he brings to business. What he does not see coming is how tangled the pursuit becomes, with a family dispute and a fortune in the background, and how easily a man who plans everything can walk into a trap of his own making. Meeting Ing wakes up the part of Yok he has kept pressed down for years, and the two are drawn into an intense mix of love and hatred.

Bank Artit Tangwiboonpanit plays Ing and Copter Nuntapong Wongsakulyong plays Yok. The series adapts the Chinese novel 你却爱着一个他 by Shui Qiancheng.

One letter in brackets

Look closely at the Thai title, คนโง่รักเข(ล)า, because the joke lives in that bracket. Read it with the ล and you get เขลา, foolish, so the title says a fool in foolish love. Drop the ล and you get เขา, him, so it says a fool who loves him. One consonant decides whether Ing is simply silly or silly about one particular man, and the English title Fool in Love keeps the first reading while the bracket keeps both. I adore a title that flirts with you before the first scene.

A prodigy who plans everything

Ing is a business prodigy, and the story points that same drive straight at Yok. I love this setup because it turns a romance into a strategy game that the strategist does not fully control. A man used to closing deals discovers that feelings do not sign contracts, and the family dispute in the background keeps raising the stakes.

A boxer in a good suit

Yok might be my favourite detail of the whole outline. He is the gentle, clever second son on paper, and a former reserve professional boxer underneath. That contrast gives Copter a lot to play with, especially next to someone as loud in ambition as Ing. When the description says meeting Ing wakes up the Yok he has kept pressed down, I immediately want to know which Yok throws the first punch, figuratively speaking.

Big drama experience meets a newer face

Bank spent years in long network dramas on Channel 3 and Channel 7, and this is his first boys' love series. Copter's only earlier credit is Lomfon in La Pluie, so the pairing brings together a very experienced lead and a newer one, working together for the first time. iQIYI is making it as an original with Tailai Entertainment, and released the official trailer on its iQIYI Thailand channel on 25 September 2026 in both Thai and Chinese dubbed versions.

Where this review stands

The series started on iQIYI on 8 October 2026 and is still airing, with twenty episodes planned. This review covers what has been announced and released so far, so there is no score yet. I will come back once the run is complete and see whether the fool in the title ends up foolish, in love, or happily both.
