What happens

Kanthi is thirty-four, wealthy and used to being the one who decides how an evening goes. Gear is a fourth-year university student who walks into the VIP room of an upscale club and asks Kanthi to guide him through something he wants to learn. Kanthi refuses. The series begins with that no, and the rest of the story is built on the question of what happens to a refusal when the younger man does not accept it as final.

The gap between them is practical as well as emotional. Kanthi has money, a settled routine and a reputation to protect. Gear has a degree to finish and a future that is still open. The episodes follow how Gear keeps returning, how Kanthi's resistance changes shape, and how the people around them react once the two are seen together. The story keeps its focus on the relationship that grows out of the refusal rather than on the club where it started.

Chalarm Siam Pipatcharoenwong plays Kanthi and James Pongsapak Rachaporn plays Gear. The supporting cast includes Ratchanon Kanpiang as Nu, Chaloemdet Thammawut as Jay, Thitipong Sangngey as Big Boss, Wasuthorn Chaijindar as Chin, Samitpong Sakulpongchai as Kim, Sarach Pichitpreecha as Sand, Bom Thunpisit Larpsumritphon as Bank, Teepor Krit Srisukwattananan as Pond and Natavish Ngamchawiwatthanasakul as Zee. Tanwarin Sukkhapisit is credited as director, and the story adapts a web novel by Wara. The Thai title is สัมผัสกันต์ธีร์.

A refusal as the opening move

Most romance series open with attraction. This one opens with a no. Kanthi declines Gear in the first scene, and that choice sets the terms for everything that follows: the older man holds the position of control, and the younger one has to decide how much persistence he is willing to spend. A story that starts from refusal has to earn every step toward closeness, which is a stricter test than a story that starts from a spark.

Two stages of life

Kanthi is thirty-four and wealthy, and Gear is a student close to the end of university. The age difference is stated in the premise and gives the pair different schedules, different budgets and different expectations about what a relationship should cost. The most useful thing a viewer can track is whether the series lets those gaps narrow or keeps them in place as a source of tension. Your Dear Daddy is the other Thai series from 2026 tagged for an age gap among the titles already covered, so this one will be easy to compare with it once both are out.

A large supporting cast for a ten episode run

Nine supporting roles are credited alongside the two leads. That is a lot of characters for ten episodes of about forty-five minutes, and it suggests friends, colleagues and rivals will have real scenes instead of cameo appearances. If the writers use them well, the club world around Kanthi will feel populated; if they do not, the extra names will fade into the background.

Rollout and format

The official pilot and trailer have already been published by the production side, and the first episode is scheduled for 14 October 2026, with a weekly Wednesday release after that. A weekly rhythm rewards patience, because each episode of this length can carry a full beat of the central push and pull.

Watching plan

If you like slow, character led romance where the first obstacle is a personal decision rather than a plot twist, add it to your list now and watch the official pilot to see whether the tone suits you. Check the channel for the exact streaming home before the premiere, since broadcast details for upcoming series can still change.

Themes

Persistence against refusal is the central theme. The series treats an age gap and a difference in wealth as ordinary conditions of a relationship and asks what each person has to give up for the other to stay.

Interesting facts

  • The official trailer arrived at the end of September 2026, about two weeks before the premiere date.
  • Nine supporting roles are credited, from Nu and Jay to Zee.
