Sataporn Panichraksapong

Sataporn Panichraksapong (Thai: สถาพร พานิชรักษาพงศ์, born 27 December 1967), known as Tha, is the chief executive of GMMTV. He has held the post since January 2007, and his executive producer credit appears on well over a hundred GMMTV productions since 2001.

He took a bachelor’s degree at Thammasat University’s Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, in the film and photography programme, and in 2014 completed the Director Certification Program run by the Thai Institute of Directors.

His career began on the music side. He was deputy managing director for the music business at RS Public Company Limited before moving to GMMTV in the same deputy role. In January 2007 he stepped up to managing director, taking over from Saithip Montrikul Na Ayudhya when she left for an executive post at GMM Media. He later held a second job as well: from 16 September 2018 he was chief executive of the broadcast channel GMM 25, again succeeding Saithip, who had moved up to vice chair of GMM Channel Holding. He gave that post up on 1 December 2020, after The One Enterprise acquired GMM Channel Holding’s registered shares and took over as the channel’s marketing agent, leaving him with the GMMTV chief executive role alone.

Titles carrying his executive producer credit include Dark Blue Kiss (2019), We Are (2024), Head 2 Head (2025) and Me and Thee (2025). He is also credited as executive producer on Cherry Magic and The Heart Killers. Two further credits are When Oranges Fall and Mr.Kill, and Ticket to Heaven completes the set.

The earlier part of his credit run includes A Tale of Thousand Stars, 2gether, Bad Buddy and F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers, along with Never Let Me Go, P.S. I Hate You, The Eclipse and My School President. In 2023 and 2024 his executive producer credit appeared on Only Friends and Last Twilight. It also appeared on Enigma and Be My Favorite, and on Moonlight Chicken and Dangerous Romance. Only Boo! and Pluto carry it as well, as do High School Frenemy and Peaceful Property, with Perfect 10 Liners closing the run. A large slate followed in 2025, led by Boys in Love, Us and Ossan’s Love Thailand, with Friendshit Forever and Melody of Secrets among the others.

By 2026 the list had grown again to include Only Friends: Dream On and My Romance Scammer. Scarlet Heart Thailand and Enemies with Benefits belong to it too, as do Love You Teacher and Girl Rules. On When Oranges Fall he shares the executive producer credit with Darapa Choeysanguan. The series is a twelve episode GMMTV and Studio Wabi Sabi production directed by Siwaj Sawatmaneekul, aired on Wednesdays from May 13, 2026 on GMM25 and OneD, and carries music composed by Sompob Pokepoon. Nuttapong Mongkolsawas and Supaporn Lertthitiverakarn are its producers.
