Joong Archen Aydin

Joong Archen Aydin (Thai: จุง อาเชน ไอย์ดึน; Chinese: 钟阿晨; born March 10, 2001) is a Thai actor, model, and singer signed to GMMTV since September 12, 2021. He is widely recognized as one of Thailand’s most popular Boys’ Love (BL) lead actors and the male half of the celebrated JoongDunk on-screen pairing alongside Dunk Natachai Boonprasert. Joong is also a debuted member of the Riser Music boy group JASP.ER, marking him as a dual-track actor-singer in the contemporary Thai entertainment industry.

Born Rachen Lueangthong in Thailand, Joong moved to Türkiye at the age of eight with his mother and stepfather, where he lived for eight years and his Turkish classmates called him Emre. He returned to Thailand at sixteen to complete his education and is currently a student of Creative Media Design at Stamford International University in Bangkok. Joong has changed his legal surname multiple times throughout his life, eventually adopting his stepfather’s surname Aydin. He has two half-sisters and one half-brother.

Joong’s career began in 2018 when he won the Mister Teen Thailand modeling competition. He made his acting debut as Ming in the BL series 2 Moons 2: The Series on June 29, 2019, under Motive Village. Joong was also the lead vocalist and lead dancer of the boy group OXQ, which debuted on June 4, 2020 with the single “ME!” before transitioning to a trainee role at Insight Entertainment as part of Insight Rookies. On September 12, 2021, Joong officially joined GMMTV.

Joong’s breakthrough came in 2022 with his lead role as Khabkluen in Star in My Mind, opposite Dunk Natachai, which launched the JoongDunk pairing in the Thai BL scene. His subsequent filmography includes The Warp Effect (2022) as Tony, Mafia: Guns and Freaks (2022) as Beam, Sky in Your Heart (2022) as Khabkluen, Hidden Agenda (2023) as Joke, Our Skyy 2 (2023), Home School (2023), Ploy’s Yearbook (2024) as Tawan, The Heart Killers (2024-2025) as Fadel Kasemsan, Dare You to Death (2025), and the upcoming ThamePo: Heart That Skips a Beat (2025) and Pocong JD (2025). He also serves as a host of the GMMTV variety program School Rangers.

On December 19, 2024, Joong officially debuted as a member of GMMTV and Riser Music’s boy group JASP.ER (แจสเปอร์), with the release of their debut single “Sadistic.” Standing at 186 cm (6’1″), he is one of the tallest actors on the GMMTV roster and is fluent in Thai, Turkish, and English with conversational Mandarin Chinese. His verified Spotify artist profile has surpassed 389,000 monthly listeners as of 2026, and his solo OST releases under GMMTV Records include My Starlight (Star in My Mind, 2022), Angel Baby cover (2022), and My Dear Donovan (2022).
