Kim Yung-hee

BIOGRAPHY

Kim Yung-hee (Korean: 김융희, also romanised Kim Young-hee; born 23 April 2001) is a South Korean actor and online content creator, credited in 2026 as one of the leads of the Korean boys’ love miniseries Fix the Error! (오류를 고쳐줘!).

Fix the Error! ran six episodes from 12 June to 10 July 2026, produced by Fangle Studio with Flying Penguin and carried on Heavenly and Shortime. Yoo Jung-hyeok both wrote and directed it. The premise is a grim reaper story: a reaper who manages death comes down with a register of names, only to find the code hovering over two people at once, one with an indifferent gaze and one with a playful smile. The question of who is supposed to die turns into the question of who is supposed to live, and the reaper ends up living as a student alongside them both. He appears in all six episodes as a character sharing his own name, Kim Young-hee, opposite Kan Hyeon-bae as Kang Ji-han.

Two earlier credits are on record. In 2025 he appeared as a club guard in three episodes of Dopamine (도파민), a short-form boys’ love series also produced by Flying Penguin and also carried on Heavenly, written for an adult audience. Before that comes a fourteen episode credit on wavve’s reality series His Man (남의연애), which the platform bills as South Korea’s first dating show of its kind and which has now run to four seasons and fifty-three episodes since 2022. Korean-language reference material identifies the season as His Man 2, which aired from June 2023 and is the fourteen episode season, consistent with the credit.

He also works as an online creator, with accounts recorded across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. His birth date is published here because two independent sources give the same date. No place of birth beyond the country, agency, education or physical measurement is on record, and those fields are left empty.

BLGLFlix editorial view

Three credits, and the shape they make is the interesting part. A reality show in 2023, a three episode short-form BL in 2025, then a lead role in a six episode BL miniseries in 2026. That is a specific and increasingly common route into Korean queer drama, and it does not run through an agency training system or a drama school. It runs through platforms.

Look at who keeps turning up. Flying Penguin produced Dopamine in 2025 and co-produced Fix the Error! in 2026. Heavenly carried both. He went from a bit part on one to a lead on the other, inside the same production and distribution setup, in about eighteen months. Korean BL is small enough that this happens, and big enough now that it constitutes a career ladder. Elsewhere on this site there is the other half of that picture: network dramas carrying queer material without naming it. This is the counterpart, a small, openly labelled production sector with its own studios, its own streaming platforms and, on this evidence, its own way of bringing people up.

A note on how the reality credit is handled here. It is published because it is a professional credit on a nationally distributed platform, listed in the same databases as every other credit on this page. The show is described using the platform’s own framing, and no statement of any kind is made about this person’s private life, relationships or orientation, here or anywhere else on this site. Those fields are permanently empty on every profile published here. If the distinction seems fussy, it is deliberate: a public credit is a fact about someone’s work, and it is not licence to write about anything else.

The name game in Fix the Error! is worth pointing out. At least two cast members play characters carrying their own names: Kim Yung-hee plays Kim Young-hee and Lee Hyun-jun plays Lee Hyun-jun. Short-form Korean BL often shoots fast with small ensembles and this kind of naming is one of the tells, but it also does something to how the series reads, and it goes largely undiscussed. The series is credited to a single person as both writer and director, which fits the same picture.

TRIVIA

In Fix the Error! the character is named Kim Young-hee, a variant of the actor’s own name. At least one other cast member, Lee Hyun-jun, does the same.

Fix the Error! is credited to one person, Yoo Jung-hyeok, as both writer and director.

Two of the three credits on record involve Flying Penguin as producer and Heavenly as the platform.

Dopamine ran to three episodes and Fix the Error! to six. Korean BL frequently works at this scale, far shorter than Thai or Taiwanese productions.

The 2026 series went out on two platforms at once, Heavenly and Shortime.

His Man, the wavve series carrying the earliest credit here, has now run to four seasons and fifty-three episodes since 2022.

Kim Yung-hee is recorded as active across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, which is a different professional base from the agency route most Korean actors take.

The Korean title of Fix the Error! is 오류를 고쳐줘!, which keeps the exclamation mark.
