Lawrence Liu (Chinese: 劉書宏; born July 16, 1987) is a Taiwanese actor born and raised in Taipei.
Before entering the entertainment industry, he worked at his family’s dumpling shop, which earned him the nickname “Dumpling Prince.” He was discovered by an advertising company in 2008 and appeared in numerous commercials before making his television acting debut in The M Riders (2010). He went on to take second and first male lead roles in dramas including Lion Pride (2017) and Taiwan X-Files (2022), and was nominated at the 24th Asian Television Awards for First Love (2018).
In 2026, Liu appeared in the Taiwanese Boys’ Love drama Smile After Tears (轉過頭,幫你擦眼淚) in the supporting role of A Mao.

Commercial work is an unfashionable training but a real one. Thirty seconds allows no exposition, so the performer has to establish a person immediately and stop. Actors who come through it tend to be efficient on screen in a way that is hard to teach in longer forms.
The nickname attached to that origin, Dumpling Prince, is recorded here because Taiwanese press used it and it is traceable, not because it is charming. Nicknames that come from publicity rather than from the performer are worth keeping for the same reason a former stage name is: they are how someone was findable at the time.
