BIOGRAPHY
Max Kuo (Chinese: 郭大睿, Kuo Ta-jui; also romanised Guo Da-rui) is a Taiwanese actor who began working as a child performer in the early 2010s. He is a minor, and this profile is deliberately limited to his professional record: BLGLFLIX does not publish a date of birth, school, place of residence, physical measurements or social media accounts for performers who are under eighteen.
He came up through television commercials and variety appearances before moving into scripted work, and by the early 2020s he had become one of Taiwan’s most frequently cast young actors for roles that bridge a character’s childhood or adolescence with an adult lead. That specialism runs right through his filmography: he played the child Huang Zi-Jie in Waiting for My Cup of Tea (2021), the child Tung Pao-chu in the courtroom drama Port of Lies (2023), the teenage Kao Chia-kai in Living (2023), the teenage Wei Zhi-yuan in Unknown (2024) and the young Xui in the film Organ Child (2025).
His other screen credits include Endless Love (2020) as Sun Ru-hui, Dear Adam (2022), Murmur of Memories (2023), BIG (2023) and Girl (2025). In 2026 he joined the Taiwanese BL series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, playing the teenage Chen Hao-wei across all twelve episodes, the adolescent half of the role Chu Meng-hsuan carries in the present-day storyline, opposite Chen Yan-syu as the teenage He Xiang-yong.

Max Kuo plays the teenage Chen Hao-wei across all twelve episodes of Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, the adolescent half of a role an adult performer carries in the present-day storyline.
Almost every credit on his record is that same structure. A courtroom drama, a family drama, a mystery series and a film, each built as a present tense that keeps returning to something that happened years earlier, and each needing a young performer who can be believed as a specific adult. Taiwanese television uses this shape far more than its neighbours do, and it has created a small pool of actors who work constantly and are almost never the person on the poster.
The work is also technically odd. He is playing a character somebody else has already defined, or will define after him, and the two performances have to agree without the two actors necessarily meeting.
