BIOGRAPHY
Nattaya Thongsaen (Thai: ณัฐธยาน์ ทองแสน; born 17 October 1997), known professionally by the nickname Plengkwan, is a Thai actor whose screen career has been built almost entirely inside the long-form lakorn, the twenty to thirty episode prime-time melodrama that remains the backbone of Thai free-to-air television.
The earliest credit on her record is Dokkaew Kahlong, which began broadcasting on 19 August 2017 and ran twenty-seven episodes. What followed is close to a survey of the format: House of Venom (2018, thirty-two episodes), Silver Screen Paradise (2018, twenty-two episodes), Blood Brothers (2019, thirty-two episodes), Kiss of the Cobra (2020, twenty-eight episodes), The Last Room No.6 (2021, fourteen episodes), The Giver (2022, twenty-six episodes), Tales of the Grandmaster (2023, fourteen episodes), Love Lesson 010 (2024, fifteen episodes) and Past Life Present Love (2024, twenty-three episodes). She also appeared as herself on the 2022 programme Mission Unscripted. Twelve credits are listed for her in total.
The twelfth, and the only one that falls inside this site’s remit, is The Edge of Horizon (อรุณรุ่ง), the historical boys’ love series that ran eleven episodes on ONE 31 between 20 June and 29 August 2026. She plays Jan, one of the household figures around the two leads.

Twelve credits, and the shape of them is the part worth talking about. Ten are conventional Thai television drama, several of them past thirty episodes, running on the same free-to-air channels that have spent the last seven years quietly folding queer romance into their schedules.
That is worth saying plainly, because English-language coverage of Thai BL tends to write about its casts as though they arrived from nowhere, or out of an idol pipeline. A good part of the supporting bench is nothing of the sort. It is working lakorn actors with years of prime-time melodrama behind them, and that bench is one of the less discussed reasons a channel like ONE 31 can put a period BL on air and have it look like the rest of its schedule rather than like an experiment.
Her billing position has not been published for any of these titles, so none of them is described here as lead or supporting work beyond the one role the production itself named.
