Monthapoom Sumonvarangkul, known as Pide, plays Chian in GELBOYS, the Looke series that ran on One31 from February 2025 and came back in 2026 for a second season. Chian does gel nails, holds the Siam Square circle together, and keeps several people close without defining any of it. The Thai title, สถานะกั๊กใจ, names exactly the position that leaves everyone else in.

Casting adults as teenagers is standard everywhere and usually invisible. Here the gap does something. A cast of actual teenagers around one performer in his late twenties produces a real difference in bearing on screen, and it lands on a character whose appeal is that he seems to have worked all of this out already. The distance is the performance.

He also has no Wikipedia article in any language, which is worth stating because it is the reason this record rests on production credits and the series’ own materials rather than on a secondary biography. A lead in a two season series with no encyclopaedia entry is a good illustration of how uneven the documentation in this field is.
