BIOGRAPHY
Ryu Ingkarat Damrongsakkul (Thai: ริว อิงครัต ดำรงค์ศักดิ์กุล; born February 5, 2003) is a Thai actor from Bangkok who began his career as a child star at the age of 9. At just 12 years old he won Best Supporting Actor at the Suphannahong National Film Awards (2015), Thailand’s national film honors, for the acclaimed LGBTQ+ coming-of-age film How to Win at Checkers (Every Time) (2015).
He went on to main roles in Dead Time Stories (2015), the e-sports series GGEZ (2018) and Quarantine Stories (2020), with appearances in 2 Moons: The Series (2017) and the film Not Friends (2023). Educated at Saint Gabriel’s College, he joined the WeTV BL series Love of Silom (2026) as “Pete” Khanit Setthaworn.
BLGLFlix editorial view
He won a national film award at twelve, for a queer coming-of-age film, nine years before this catalogue’s genre went mainstream.
Ryu Ingkarat Damrongsakkul took Best Supporting Actor at the Suphannahong National Film Awards in 2015 for How to Win at Checkers (Every Time). He was born in 2003 and had been working since he was nine. That is the only national film honour on any page in this project, and it was given for LGBTQ+ material at a point when Thai BL was still a web-series business.
Child performers in this catalogue mostly stop. He did not: Dead Time Stories, the e-sports series GGEZ, Quarantine Stories, an appearance in 2 Moons, the film Not Friends, and now Pete in Love of Silom. Fourteen years of continuous work by twenty-three.
The record is complete enough to see the shape of that: birth date, school, award, debut age. It is the fullest page in this batch, and the reason is straightforward. Someone who won a national prize as a child gets written about, and everything written about them afterwards is easier to verify.
