Love of Silom
SYNOPSIS
Love of Silom (Thai: รักแห่งสีลม, RTGS: Rak Haeng Silom) is a 2026 Thai BL romance drama television series produced by Insight Entertainment and YYDS Entertainment under the WeTV Original banner. The 12-episode series is directed by Pepzi Banchorn Vorasataree and adapted from the popular Thai BL novel of the same name by author Violet Rain. The series stars Up Poompat Iam-samang as Krit Krisadawut Siriwatmontri and Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat as Wayu, the established Thai BL acting pair known to fans as UpPoom. Set against the contrasting worlds of corporate high-rises and underground nightlife in Bangkok's Silom district, the series is part of WeTV's flagship 'Always More 2026' content lineup.
The story follows Krit (Up Poompat), a young, handsome police captain born into a traditional Thai-Chinese family. Bound by filial piety, Krit reluctantly follows his father into the National Police Bureau despite never wanting the career. His family staunchly opposes same-sex relationships, with his father openly threatening violence if Krit ever dates a man. Krit hides his relationship with his closeted boyfriend until that boyfriend, after achieving idol stardom on the back of Krit's support, abandons him. Heartbroken and disillusioned, Krit becomes cold, emotionally unavailable, and disinterested in love. Across town, Wayu (Poom Phuripan) is a university student forced into adulthood far too quickly. After his parents abandon him and his teenage sister disappears, leaving him to raise her newborn child alone, Wayu takes a job at a Silom nightclub to survive. When a violent altercation with a club client turns ugly, Krit happens to intervene as the responding officer, and a slow, fragile connection begins between two men carrying very different wounds.
Love of Silom premiered on WeTV on April 24, 2026 and airs new episodes every Friday at 20:00 Thailand time, with the season finale scheduled for July 10, 2026. Filmed entirely on location in Bangkok's iconic Silom district, the production captures the area's signature contrast of corporate skyscrapers and underground gay nightlife as a visual metaphor for the protagonists' double lives. A separately released Love of Silom (Uncut Ver.) airs concurrently on WeTV with extended 65-minute mature-content episodes.
