Love of Silom

Love of Silom (รักแห่งสีลม, Rak Haeng Silom) is a 2026 Thai BL romance adapted from Violet Rain's novel of the same name, set where Bangkok's Silom district keeps its two faces: corporate towers by day, nightlife after dark. Krit Krisadawut Siriwatmontri (Up Poompat Iam-samang) is a young police captain who never wanted the badge. Born into a traditional Thai-Chinese family and bound by filial duty, he followed his father into the National Police Bureau and has spent years keeping the rest of himself out of sight; his father has made plain what would happen if Krit were ever seen with a man. Across the district, Wayu (Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat) is a university student who was handed adulthood far too early.

Krit's long-hidden relationship ends when the boyfriend he quietly supported reaches idol stardom and walks away, leaving him cold, guarded and finished with love. Wayu's life narrows for different reasons: abandoned by his parents and left on his own after his teenage sister disappears, he takes a job at a Silom nightclub to keep himself and his infant nephew Singto (Leica Nonnarat Weeraratsuphakul) fed. The two men meet on the worst possible night, when a violent confrontation with a club customer brings Krit in as the responding officer. What follows is less a rescue than a slow, wary recognition between one man who has learned that being seen is dangerous and another who has never had the luxury of hiding, and the connection that grows between them keeps running into Krit's family, his uniform, and everything he has agreed not to want. Up and Poom, the established acting pair fans know as UpPoom, carry the show almost entirely on that tension.

Directed by Pepzi Banchorn Vorasataree and produced by Insight Entertainment with YYDS Entertainment for WeTV, Love of Silom premiered on 24 April 2026 as part of the platform's Always More 2026 lineup, airing weekly on Friday nights at 20:00 Thailand time. Filmed on location in Silom itself, the production uses the district's split personality, glass office blocks on one street and bar signage on the next, as a working metaphor for the double lives both leads maintain. The tone runs heavier than the campus romances that dominate the Thai BL calendar: this is a drama about family obligation, class, and the cost of loving in private, and the mature material it raises is named rather than dwelt on. A separately released extended edition, listed by WeTV as Love of Silom (Uncut Ver.), runs alongside the standard release and restores footage trimmed for broadcast.
