BIOGRAPHY
Sammi Pan (Chinese: 潘心慧, Pan Hsin-hui) is a Taiwanese television producer and one of the architects of the country’s modern BL production line. She is not a performer; her credits sit entirely on the production side.
Her signature project is the We Best Love franchise, which she created and produced in 2021 along with its spin-off WBL Boys’ Vacation. She followed it as creator and producer of My Tooth Your Love (2022), the dentist-and-patient romance that ran twelve half-hour episodes on LINE TV and CATCHPLAY+ with distribution into Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia. Contemporary reporting identified the creative core of that franchise as executive producer Tsai Fei-chiao, producer Sammi Pan, director Chiang Jui-chih and screenwriter Lin Pei-yu, a team that has stayed together across projects since.
Her later producing credits include Bright & Dark (2024), A Romantic Revenge (2024) and Unknown (2024), and she is attached to the upcoming Believe in You and the GL series She & Hers. In 2026 she produced all twelve episodes of the Taiwanese BL series Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars, again with Chiang Jui-chih directing.

A producer who originates a franchise rather than executing somebody else’s script is doing an authorial job under an administrative title. In Taiwan that model built a boys love industry from a standing start: a handful of producers decided the audience existed, assembled the money and the casts, and made enough of it to prove the point.
Taiwan is also where the form has had the least regulatory friction of any of the markets this site covers, which is part of why a producer could take that bet at all.
