Somebody wrote the music that tells you how to feel about two people not saying anything, and it was her.

Sumika Horiguchi (堀口純香), born 1991 in Tokyo, is a composer affiliated with Dimension Cruise. She wrote the original music for the 2020 Japanese television drama of Cherry Magic! and for its 2022 film. She studied composition and piano at the Kunitachi College of Music and its affiliated schools, having begun music at two.

Composers are among the least consistently credited people in television metadata anywhere. Cast lists are published, scores are not, and a name that appears in the closing titles for four seconds is routinely dropped from every database downstream. Ours had dropped hers too until this page was written.

The omission matters more in this genre than it might elsewhere. A boys love drama is carried substantially by its score: the same two people sitting in silence reads as tension or as comfort depending almost entirely on what is underneath it, and the soundtrack is often released and sold as a product in its own right.

Her birth year, birthplace, agency with a joining year, conservatory training and two verified accounts are all documented, which is a fuller record than most crew pages here carry.
