Zheng Diao-qin
BIOGRAPHY
Zheng Diao-qin (Chinese: 鄭彫秦; born July 19, 2003) is a Taiwanese actor and singer signed to TPOP Entertainment as a member of the boy group ARKis.
He appeared in a minor role in the 2023 film Who’ll Stop the Rain before becoming known to the public as a contestant on the survival competition series Atom Boyz II (原子少年2), which led to the formation of ARKis in December 2024.
In 2026, Zheng took on his first extended acting role in the Taiwanese Boys’ Love drama Smile After Tears (轉過頭，幫你擦眼淚), playing basketball team member Zheng Diao-qin opposite Zhang Jun-jia and He Yan-kai. He has described the month-long shoot as requiring stamina and focus.

Both leads of this series play characters named after themselves. That is not two actors making the same choice, it is the format the production chose.
Zheng Diao-qin appears in Smile After Tears as a basketball team member called Zheng Diao-qin, alongside He Yan-kai doing the same thing. When a show does that across its cast it is selling proximity: viewers who followed these people through a competition are meant to feel they are watching them, not a story about strangers.
He arrived with slightly more behind him than his bandmate. A minor part in the 2023 film Who’ll Stop the Rain came before Atom Boyz II, the competition that produced ARKis in December 2024. So the order runs film, then survival show, then group, then drama, which is an unusual sequence and suggests he was trying acting before the idol route found him.
