Three novels by one writer account for most of what the world outside China has read of this genre.

Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭), usually called MXTX, published The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System in 2014, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation in 2015 and Heaven Official’s Blessing in 2017, all serialised on Jinjiang Literature City. Each of the three has been adapted three separate ways, into animation, comics and audio drama, and the second of them also became The Untamed.

This catalogue holds four records that trace back to that single novel: the web novel itself, two animated series and the comic. No other author on this site is responsible for anything like that spread, and the adaptations reached audiences in countries where the novel was never legally published.

She has never been photographed, has never given a filmed interview, and no verified account exists under her name. That is an unusual position for a writer of this reach, and it is a decision rather than an oversight in a publishing environment where the material itself carries risk.

So this page records the work and nothing about the person, because there is nothing about the person that any source we would cite has established. No birth date, no birthplace, no photograph. The pen name is the whole of the public identity.
