Can You Kiss Me First?

Can You Kiss Me First? (Japanese: お前のほうからキスしてくれよ) is a Japanese boys' love television drama announced for broadcast from 19 October 2026. It has not yet aired, and this entry records the announcement rather than the programme.

Fuji Television carries it in the Kanto region on Mondays at 24:45, which is after midnight and is the reason some listings date the first episode to 20 October; the two refer to the same transmission. Catch-up follows free on TVer and on FOD. Eight episodes are planned. Humax Entertainment produces, from a script by Emi Amamoto, with a director credited in Japanese as 高橋 whose given name is rendered variously as Natsuki and Meigetsu across the official site and secondary listings.

The source is Yamayade's manga for Shu-Cream POP, published under its moment imprint, with over 250,000 copies reported in circulation. Seven Seas holds the English licence and publishes it as Can You Kiss Me First?, which is where the drama's English title comes from.

Jin Suzuki plays Ueno Ko, who works in the accounting department, and Gaku Oshida plays Kanda Eito, a salesman. Tsubasa Kizu, Riko Kawase, Kosuke Matsudai and Aika Sonoda are also announced.

The premise as published sets two colleagues who have little in common, a reserved man in accounts and an easy, popular one in sales, who are closer friends than anyone at the company realises. When the salesman comes out to him, the quieter one finds his own reaction harder to account for than he expected, and the drama is described as the two of them circling something neither will say first.
