Band

Most of the music acts catalogued on this site were assembled by a company: auditioned, trained, given assigned positions and released on a schedule. A band is a different proposition, formed by its own members around instruments they play, and only one act here is filed that way.

Getsunova are a four-piece from Bangkok who have been working since 2008, and their connection to this catalogue runs through a soundtrack rather than through a drama role. They wrote a song for a Thai boys’ love series in 2019, and one member holds a profile of his own here. That is a route into the genre the idol-group entries elsewhere do not take, which is why the record is kept under its own heading rather than folded in with them. One act is obviously not a survey of Thai rock, and none is attempted. The Boy Group and Girl Group pages hold the format that dominates this part of the site.
