Eeyo Kurosaki

Eeyo Kurosaki (Japanese: 黒崎エーヨ), also credited as Eiyo Kurosaki, is a Japanese anime screenwriter and series composition writer. Within this vertical the relevant credits are four boys’ love anime: The Titan’s Bride (2020), Seduced by My Best Friend (2021), Everything for Demon King Evelogia (2021) and Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (やたらやらしい深見くん, 2025).

What series composition means

The credit that appears most often on this record is series composition (シリーズ構成), and it is worth explaining because English-language listings rarely do. It is not the same as writing an episode. The series composition writer decides how a source manga is broken into episodes, what goes in and what is cut, where each episode ends and how the arc is paced across the run. In an anime production it is the closest role to what television elsewhere calls a showrunner, and on a short eight-episode adaptation it is the single most consequential writing job. On several titles this person holds both credits at once, planning the structure and then writing individual episodes inside it.

The boys’ love work

The Titan’s Bride (2020, 9 episodes, Tokyo MX) is the earliest, adapted from the manga, with series composition credited here. Everything for Demon King Evelogia (2021, 9 episodes) is an isekai adaptation released as an original net animation. Seduced by My Best Friend (2021, 8 episodes) carries a co-writer credit. Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami (2025, 8 episodes) is the most recent, an office comedy in which a colleague turns out to be nothing like the person the protagonist had filed him as.

Most of this filmography sits outside what this site covers. Between 2020 and 2025 the same short-form format carried a long run of titles written for an adult audience and aimed at a heterosexual readership, none of which belongs in a BL and GL catalogue. We name the category rather than the individual titles, because listing them here would serve no reader of this site. What the pattern does tell you is the format this writer works in: eight-episode adaptations of manga, broadcast in the short-anime slot on Tokyo MX and BS11, roughly two a year, for six years without a gap.

It is not a difference of taste. It is a difference of slot. Thai BL is prime-time television with twelve or more hour-long episodes and a marketing campaign built around two actors. Japanese BL anime, at least in this writer’s corner of it, is an eight-episode short-form adaptation sharing a broadcast block and a production pipeline with material made for an adult audience, produced fast, with a manga already supplying the plot. Our own read is that this is why the two look like different art forms while carrying the same label: one has room to let a relationship develop across weeks of screen time, and the other has to compress an existing book into a couple of hours and rely on the reader already knowing it. Neither is a failure of the other. But a viewer arriving at Japanese BL anime from Thai series should know they are not being offered the same thing, and the reason is structural rather than creative.
