Luxurious.W (Thai: ลักซ์ชูเรียส.W) is a Thai web novelist writing under a pen name, and the author of Khom Khlang (ข่มขลัง), the novel adapted into the WeTV Original girls’ love series of the same name.
The adaptation is produced by Star Hunter Entertainment and directed by Phuwadol Naosopha, and is due to premiere on 7 September 2026. It is classified as a period drama as well as girls’ love, which is a rare combination in the genre. The premise puts Bulan, a woman with an unsettling presence, in the path of Peem, a police officer working a case the law cannot resolve; Bulan is recommended to her as the only person who can help, and what follows unsettles Peem’s sense of both attraction and justice. Sireethorn Leearamwat plays Bulan and Warangsiri Tanajarusworaphat plays Peem, with Kamollak Sangsubsin as Loom and Anunta Teavirat as Ratha.

What makes this adaptation worth watching is where it puts its story. Thai girls’ love has, so far, been overwhelmingly contemporary and overwhelmingly domestic in scale: schools, universities, offices, apartments. Khom Khlang is classified as a period drama, built around Thai beliefs about ritual power and protection, with a criminal investigation running through it. That is a genuinely different proposition, and the fact that it comes from a web novel rather than an in-house concept is part of why. Web fiction is where the genre’s unusual premises come from; the screen adaptations tend to follow rather than lead.
The title itself carries the point. ข่มขลัง is not a word that translates neatly. It puts together the sense of subduing or overpowering with the sense of the sacred or the magically potent, and the international release keeps the Thai transliteration rather than attempting an English equivalent. When a distributor declines to translate a title, it is usually because there is no version that survives the trip.
The pen name is not an obstacle, it is the norm. Thai web novel platforms are built around authors who publish under handles, and a great many of the source novels behind Thai BL and GL carry no legal name anywhere. Where a database is silent, the production’s own announcement is the better source anyway.
