SYNOPSIS

Khom Khlang (ข่มขลัง) is a Thai Girls' Love series produced by Star Hunter Entertainment as a WeTV Original, and it puts its romance somewhere Thai GL has rarely gone: inside the country's own traditions of magic, curse and ritual protection.

Bulan (Sireethorn Leearamwat) keeps a household built around those traditions. Thai press material calls her Mae Khru Bulan, the title given to a woman who holds and teaches that knowledge, and the series treats her authority as real rather than as superstition to be debunked. Phim (Warangsiri Tanajarusworaphat) is a police officer, and she arrives at Bulan's door because a case has stopped responding to police work. Someone has told her Bulan is the only person who can help.

What follows is less a conversion story than a collision. Phim's training tells her what counts as evidence; Bulan's world runs on a different set of rules entirely, and the series lets that friction do the work rather than settling it early. The attraction that grows between them is bound up with the same problem: whether Phim can accept a kind of truth her job has no procedure for.

The season runs four episodes, directed by Phuwadol Naosopha and adapted from a web novel by Luxurious.W. Around the leads, Kamollak Sangsubsin plays Loom and Anunta Teavirat plays Ratha, both appearing across the full run. Episodes arrive weekly on Mondays from 7 September 2026, with an uncut version exclusive to WeTV.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • WeTV Original: produced by Star Hunter Entertainment and released on WeTV rather than airing first on a Thai television channel.
  • Four episodes: a short season, released weekly on Mondays from 7 September 2026 and closing on 28 September 2026.
  • Occult premise: the story is built on Thai beliefs about magic and ritual protection, which is unusual ground for the GL genre and closer to Thai horror-drama territory.
  • Lead pairing: Bint Sireethorn Leearamwat and Puinun Warangsiri Tanajarusworaphat play Mae Khru Bulan and police officer Phim.
  • Miss International 2019: Sireethorn Leearamwat won Miss International in Tokyo on 12 November 2019, the first Thai woman to take the title, and is a qualified pharmacist.
  • Novel adaptation: adapted from a Thai web novel by Luxurious.W, named by Star Hunter in its own press material.
  • Idol casting: Kamollak Sangsubsin and Anunta Teavirat are both members of COSMOS, Star Hunter’s girl group, which links the series to the label’s music roster.
  • Uncut version: WeTV carries a version the platform describes as uncut, exclusive to it.
  • Official trailer: released on Star Hunter Entertainment’s own YouTube channel on 24 August 2026.
  • Where to watch: WeTV is the rights-holder route. No direct series page had been published at the time this entry was written, so no link is recorded here yet.

EDITOR’S VERDICT

This is a preview, not a review. Khom Khlang had not premiered when this page was written. What follows is an assessment of the premise and the announced production, based on Star Hunter Entertainment's own press material, the official trailer and the credited cast. No episodes have been watched, and no score is recorded. This section will be replaced with a scored review once the season has aired.

What Looks Promising

The premise is the most interesting thing here. Thai GL has largely worked in schools, offices and friendship groups; setting a romance inside the country's own occult tradition gives the genre material it has not used much, and it gives the two leads genuinely opposed worldviews rather than the misunderstanding-driven conflict that usually powers short-form GL.

Casting Sireethorn Leearamwat as the keeper of that tradition is a deliberate choice. She carries a national profile from Miss International that most GL leads do not, and the role asks her to hold authority rather than vulnerability, which is a harder assignment than the genre typically hands its senior lead.

What Could Go Wrong

Four episodes is very little room. A supernatural mystery, a police investigation and a romance built on genuine ideological difference all have to land inside that frame, and short Thai seasons often resolve the emotional arc by simply asserting it. Whether the ending is earned or announced is the open question.

The occult material carries its own risk. Handled carelessly, Thai magic on screen slides into spectacle. The trailer suggests a restrained register, but restraint in a trailer is not the same as restraint across four episodes.

Where It Sits

On paper this is one of the more distinctive GL projects of the 2026 Thai slate, and the shortest. It is worth watching for the premise even if the execution is uneven. Come back after 28 September 2026 for a scored verdict.
