BL & GL Flix respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. We respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable law.
1. Which images we use
We do not host, stream, or embed video. The Site’s media library holds roughly 520 image files, and every one of them belongs to one of four groups:
- Posters and key art — the promotional artwork a studio, network, or distributor releases in order to publicise a series or film.
- Cast and crew portraits — agency, studio, or press portraits of actors, directors, screenwriters, producers, composers, and authors.
- Cover art — covers and official character art from the novels, manga, manhwa, and webtoons a title is adapted from, and from related soundtrack releases.
- Platform and service logos — the marks of the streaming services where a title can legally be watched, used to send readers to the licensed source.
What we do not use matters just as much. We publish no episode stills, no screen captures, no frame grabs, and no screenshots from any series or film. We do not rip, host, or link to pirated video. We do not reproduce subtitle files, scripts, or scanned manga or webtoon pages.
Every category above consists of material that the rights holder itself distributes for publicity. Where we know who that rights holder is, the image carries a caption naming them — for example “© GMMTV”, “© Studio Wabi Sabi / GMM25”, “© Square Enix / Yuu Toyota”, or “© KADOKAWA”. Many images reach us through The Movie Database. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. We are still completing captions on a small number of older files.
2. How we use them
Images sit inside our own written database entries, cast lists, and editorial commentary. They identify the work or the person the surrounding text is about, and support criticism, review, and reporting. A poster tells you which series an entry describes; a portrait tells you which performer a credit belongs to.
None of it substitutes for the work itself. We do not offer these images as downloads, wallpapers, print files, or a gallery to browse, and we do not sell them or license them onward.
3. Asking us to remove something — no formal notice needed
You do not need to file a formal DMCA notice. A plain email identifying the page is enough. We will remove the material first and correspond afterwards.
Write to info@blglflix.com and tell us the URL, or simply the name of the title or person. You do not need to send a signature, a sworn statement, or proof of ownership before we act. We answer within 72 hours.
4. How to file a formal DMCA notice
If you would rather go the formal route, send a written notice to info@blglflix.com with the subject line “DMCA Notice”, including:
- Your full name and contact details (email is sufficient);
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
- The exact URL(s) on blglflix.com where the material appears;
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf;
- Your electronic or physical signature.
5. Our response
Upon receiving a notice — formal or informal — we will remove or disable access to the material promptly, and we will reply within 72 hours.
6. Counter-notice
If you believe content was removed in error, you may send a counter-notice to info@blglflix.com including the information above and a statement, under penalty of perjury, of your good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake.
7. Repeat infringers
We may remove content and restrict access for users who repeatedly infringe.
8. Requests from the people we write about
Actors, directors, writers, musicians, and the agencies or management that represent them can write to us directly about their own profile page. If you want a photograph replaced or taken down, a detail corrected, a name or romanisation changed, or the whole page removed, email info@blglflix.com from any address and say so. We handle these the same day.
We do not ask you to prove who you are before we act on a request about your own page, and we do not publish private contact details, home addresses, or personal information that is not part of a person’s public professional record.
