Flower of Memory
BIOGRAPHY
Flower of Memory (Thai: ดอกไม้แห่งความทรงจำ) is the pen name of a Thai novelist writing Girls’ Love fiction, and one of the small group of authors whose books Thai television is currently turning into series faster than the industry can write original ones.
The novel Moon Shadow (เงาใต้พระจันทร์) is the source for Moonshadow, the ten episode GMMTV series directed by Kanittha Kwunyoo that began airing on GMM 25 on 12 August 2026. A second novel became My Only Sunshine (ตะวันระฟ้า), an eight episode Star Hunter Studio production directed by Manassanun Su that aired on GMM 25 from 25 February 2026. A third series, Hidden Heart The Series (รักพรางใจ), is in production at Star Hunter Studio, and on that one the credit is writer rather than source author.
Three Girls’ Love series in one year, across two rival studios
All three titles carry Girls’ Love classification. Two of them aired in 2026 within six months of each other, one made by GMMTV and one by Star Hunter Studio, which are competitors. A novelist supplying source material to both sides of that rivalry in the same year is not a common position for anyone in Thai television to occupy.
The third credit is the one that changes the shape of the record. On Hidden Heart The Series this is not the novelist being adapted. It is the writer.
BLGLFlix editorial view
We have made this argument before on other pages here and this record strengthens it: Thai Girls’ Love is a literary phenomenon that television is still catching up with. The books came first, they had readers first, and the studios are working through a backlog that novelists built without them. When a studio commissions a Girls’ Love series, it is very often buying a story that already proved it had an audience on the page.
What makes this page worth reading alongside the others is the direction of travel. An author adapted twice inside twelve months is now writing directly for the screen, at the studio that did the adapting. That is the moment a novelist stops being a supplier and becomes part of the production system, and it is the most reliable sign we have found that a genre is maturing. Boys’ Love in Thailand went through the same transition years ago, which is one reason it has a steady pipeline and Girls’ Love mostly does not.
Our own read is that this is the mechanism by which Thai Girls’ Love will actually get a pipeline, if it gets one. Not through studios deciding to fund more of it, which is a decision that can be reversed in a quarter, but through the people who wrote the source novels moving inside the building. Writers are much harder to un-hire than commissioning strategies are to abandon.
Nothing personal is published here, and that is deliberate rather than a gap we failed to fill. Thai web novelists work under pen names for reasons that are their own, and no reliable source connects this one to a legal name.
