Suehiro Machi
BIOGRAPHY
Suehiro Machi (Japanese: 末広マチ) is a Japanese manga artist (mangaka) known for boys’ love (BL) manga. Her work is serialized by Takeshobo in the magazine Qpa, with English-language editions published by Seven Seas Entertainment. No birth date, birth place, or photograph has been publicly disclosed by the artist or her publishers, which is common practice among Japanese manga creators.
Suehiro made her professional BL manga debut with Lock Up Boy (2015), followed by Irezumi Danshi and Deadly Sugar Syrup (2016). She built her reputation through the late 2010s with titles including Kousei Tanto Hattori-san (2016-2017), Do You Like Handsome Men? (2017-2018), Dear Signal (2018-2019), and the one-shot Mellow Pillow (2018).
Her later serials include Kore de Saigo no Koi ni Shitai (2019-2020), Fox-Colored Jealousy (2019-2020), and Kind of a Wolf (2020-2021). In 2020 she began serializing Fake Fact Lips in Qpa, running through 2021, and followed it in 2022-2023 with a sequel, Fake Fact Lips BREAK. The original manga was adapted into the 2026 Japanese BL television drama of the same name, starring Kaito Hori as Ryo Yotsuya and Yusuke Sato as Zen Shido.
Suehiro has continued to publish new work, including Chiguhagu na Kiss (2023-2024), the anthology contribution Sono Gap ni Yowai: Gap Danshi BL Anthology (2025), and the ongoing series How to Melt (2024-present). She maintains verified accounts on X and Instagram, linked from her own personal hub page, but has not made her birth date, hometown, or photograph public.
BLGLFlix editorial view
Nobody has ever published her face, her hometown or the year she was born, and that is her decision rather than our gap.
Suehiro Machi drew the manga behind Fake Fact Lips, catalogued here both as the source manga and as the 2026 live-action series. She has been publishing boys love since 2015.
Japanese manga artists routinely work without a public identity, and the boys love field even more so. A pen name, a magazine, a publisher and a list of serials is the whole professional record, and the artist appears at signings and in interviews as a drawing of herself if at all. It is an old convention and it survives the internet largely intact.
So the empty fields on this page are not a research failure and this site will not attempt to fill them from a forum post. What she has chosen to publish is public: verified accounts on two platforms, linked from her own hub page.
Her serial record runs from a 2015 debut through roughly a dozen titles, a sequel to the work adapted here, and an ongoing series begun in 2024, which is a decade of consistent output in a field where most creators do not last five years.
Her pen name in both scripts, her publisher, an English-language licensor, a dated debut and two verified accounts are recorded.
