BLGLFlix is an independent reference database and review site for Boys’ Love (BL) and Girls’ Love (GL) drama, film, anime, manga, manhwa and web novels, covering productions from Thailand, South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, the Philippines and beyond.
It is not a streaming service. Nothing is hosted, streamed or mirrored here. Where a title is available to watch or read, the link goes to the rights holder’s own licensed platform and nowhere else.
Who runs this site
I do, on my own. I write here under the name Renkaze, which is a pen name rather than a company or a team. Every record, review, rating and correction on this site is my work, and the editor page explains who I am and why I started it. I have no affiliation, partnership or sponsorship arrangement with any studio, agency, distributor or streaming platform mentioned anywhere on this site.
How I source the data
Every entry is built from primary sources and cross-checked before it goes live. The source order is fixed and I apply it the same way every time:
- The Movie Database (TMDB) for structural data: identifiers, air dates, episode and season counts, runtimes, cast credits, production companies and networks.
- Official sources for anything TMDB cannot settle: producer and network sites, publisher product pages, verified production social accounts and press releases. Where an official source conflicts with TMDB on release dates, schedules or casting, the official source wins.
- Wikipedia for biographical facts, award records and historical context, preferring statements that carry their own citations.
Two rules govern the rest. First, a field I cannot verify is left blank rather than estimated. A missing birth date on this site means no admissible source states it, not that I forgot. Second, where credible sources disagree, the page says so instead of quietly picking one. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
How I rate
Title pages carry an editorial score out of 10, written after watching or reading the work through the episodes available at the time of publication. It is one person’s considered judgement rather than an average, and it is kept separate from reader votes and from third-party user ratings, which are collected differently and will often differ from mine. I revisit a score when a series concludes or a new season changes the picture.
Some title pages carry no score at all, and that is deliberate. It happens when I have not watched or read the work in full, most often because a series is still airing, because the page went up before the finale, or because the record is for a source novel or manga behind a series I have covered. Those pages say so in place of a number and explain what the write-up is based on instead. A page with an honest gap in it is worth more than a score nobody has earned the right to give.
Privacy and people
Profile pages publish only what the individual or their agency has made public. I do not publish private information, unverified rumours or speculation about anyone’s personal life. For anyone who appears to be a minor, I omit birth dates, physical measurements, schools, places of residence and social media accounts entirely, regardless of what other sites publish. References to on-screen pairings describe professional collaboration and are not claims about anyone’s private relationships.
Corrections
I get things wrong, and I would rather hear about it than not. If you spot an error, email me with the page and the correction and I will check it against the sources. Verified corrections are usually made within a few business days, and substantive changes are noted on the page itself. Rights holders who want an image removed can write to the same address; see the DMCA / Copyright Policy.
What this site is not
- Not a streaming site. No video is hosted, stored or distributed here.
- Not an official source. I have no relationship with the productions I cover.
- Not a scraper. Posters and images are used solely to identify the work being described, and are credited on the page.
