BIOGRAPHY
Gandhi Wasuvitchayagit (Thai: คานธี วสุวิชย์กิต) is a Thai actor and director. He plays Jo in the 2026 revenge thriller Payback, appearing across all ten episodes; the character is Jay’s uncle.
His screen career begins in 2014 with the film Supernatural, in which he played Ake, the Astronaut, followed by The Black Death (2015) as Thep and Remind Mind (2016) as Son. Feature work has continued alongside television: Transmissions of Unwanted Pasts (2019) as Pang’s boss, the experimental short Red Aninsri (2020) in a dual voice and screen credit, ManSuang (2023) as Wichiendej, A Useful Ghost (2025) as Dr. Paul, and Ashes and Echoes (2026).
In Boys’ Love series he appeared as Thua’s stepfather in The Eclipse (2022), as Kiattisak Kiatkangwan, Boston’s father, in Only Friends (2023), as Somsak across eight episodes of Spare Me Your Mercy (2024), as Rose’s father in Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart! (2024), as Pracha in Shine (2025), and as Mek Mekhin across eight episodes of BROKEN (Of) LOVE (2026).
He also directs. He is credited as director on Motherhood (2022), a series in which he appeared as an officer. He posts on Instagram as gwasuvitch.
Payback follows Sun, a former debt collector who now works as a delivery rider. He learns that his ex-boyfriend Bank has become an actor under the name Sunny and enters the entertainment industry to take revenge, where Jay, a senior director at Dream Entertainment, enters his plans. Jo is Jay’s uncle. The series aired for ten episodes on One 31 from May 30 to August 1, 2026, with iQIYI carrying it internationally, and Woodie Pongchaiphat Sethanand directs.
Gandhi Wasuvitchayagit reaches Payback through both its writer and its director.
He played Somsak in Spare Me Your Mercy (2024), which originates with Sammon, who supplies the screen story for Payback. Whale Store xoxo (2025) was shot by Woodie Pongchaiphat Sethanand, who directs Payback.

In my view Gandhi is an actor whose strength is the small, exact role. Stepfather, father, officer, boss, doctor: these are supporting parts, and they work when the performer makes each one feel lived in. What I find interesting is the second career behind the camera, since directing Motherhood means he has seen a set from the other side. I would start with A Useful Ghost for a recent film role and Only Friends for a television one, then come to Jo in Payback.
