Wayne Song

Wayne Song is a Taiwanese actor from Taichung who graduated from the Department of Drama at the National Taiwan University of Arts. While at Taichung Municipal Second Senior High School he directed a short film that took a high school group award at the eighth Acer Digital Creation Microfilm Competition. He joined a talent agency in 2015 and completed an eighteen month actor development programme before taking early roles in Swimming Battle, Campus Heroes, Age of Rebellion and Iron Ladies. In 2018 he was nominated for Best New Performer at the 53rd Golden Bell Awards. He played the high school student Xiang Hao Ting in the 2019 boys love series HIStory3: Make Our Days Count, opposite Huang Chun Chih. Subsequent work includes The Making of an Ordinary Woman, Fly the Jumper, The Iron Four, Kiseki: Dear to Me, A Second Chance of Life and The Bliss. In 2025 he was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the 60th Golden Bell Awards. He now writes his name as 宋偉恩.

Born in Taichung on 20 December 1994, he trained in the Department of Drama at National Taiwan University of Arts, which still lists him as an alumnus. He began in youth oriented Taiwanese television, including 料理高校生 in 2015 and the high school swimming series 飛魚高校生, and by 2025 interviewers described him as ten years into his career. His first Golden Bell recognition came in 2018 for 翻牆的記憶, about seven years before he was nominated in a leading category.

For Blood: Ten Lives (血．拾人生) he played Zhu Yi, a character built on a real person. He told ETtoday that the real family found the subject hard to talk about, and he has said the work changed how he sees performance and left him wanting to speak up on social issues. He also told udn that this was the first role he did not manage to leave behind at the end of a shooting day.
