The Star Always Follows You

The Star Always Follows You, in Vietnamese Lấp Lánh Tựa Ánh Sao Trời, is a nine-episode boys' love web series from RL Studio, released on YouTube between 26 November 2022 and 14 January 2023. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha directed. Episodes run between fifteen and thirty minutes and every one carries English subtitles, which the studio advertises in each upload title.

Dang, played by Truong Van Ngoan, is a student whose grades have collapsed and who is sent out of the city to the countryside. Son, played by Hao Dan, is a schoolteacher in the village where he lands, and the remedial lessons arranged for him become the place where the two spend most of their time. The tutoring does what it was meant to do and rather more besides. Because the village is small, very little that happens between them stays private. Cao Tieu Thanh plays Quynh, Nguyen Thai Khang plays Quan, Pham The Bang plays Vi and Duong Kien Hao plays An.

RL Studio is the second of the two houses that supply most of Vietnam's boys' love output, and its approach differs from O2 Production's in a few visible ways: shorter episodes, English subtitling built in from the start rather than added later, and a channel that surrounds each series with vlogs, reaction videos and behind-the-scenes clips. The studio published the full run as a single video of under three hours alongside the individual episodes.

The English name is not stable. The studio's own uploads read "The Star Always Follow You" without the third-person s, and at least one trailer reaction on the same channel renders the title as "Sparkling Like Starlight". The form used here follows the reference source; the alternatives are recorded in the also-known-as field. A single-episode sequel special, Stormy Honeymoon, followed in April 2023 and is held here as a separate record.
