Stormy Honeymoon

Stormy Honeymoon, in Vietnamese Trăng Mật Bất Ổn, is a single-episode boys' love special made in Vietnam by RL Studio and posted to the studio's YouTube channel in April 2023. It runs a little over half an hour and exists to continue the couple from the studio's earlier series The Star Always Follows You, which had finished three months before.

Dang and Son are married now and have moved to the city. Truong Van Ngoan and Hao Dan return in both parts. The half hour turns on one husband's insecurity about how close the other has become to a male friend, which is a smaller and more domestic engine than anything the parent series ran on. Ton That Tam Duc appears as Tam and Ly Thanh Chi as Khoa. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha directs, as she did the series.

RL Studio's channel treats it as part of the same project rather than as a new one. The video sits alongside the series episodes, carries English subtitles in the same style, and was followed on the channel by a reaction video of the sort the studio posts for its full-length releases.

It is filed here as a special rather than as a web series, which is the judgement this catalogue has made from the shape of the thing: one instalment, one sitting, no episode structure, and a story that depends entirely on a preceding work. Some listings describe it as a film instead, and that reading is defensible — thirty-three minutes is short-film length — but the reference source treats it as a single-episode series special.

The release date is the one thing this record cannot state cleanly. The source gives 22 April 2023 as the first air date and 23 April as the end date, which for a work of one episode cannot both be right.
