2gether: The Series

2gether: The Series opens on a pretend arrangement. Tine Teepakorn is a college cheerleader who keeps being pursued by an admirer he does not want, and he solves the problem in the least subtle way available: he asks the aloof guitarist Sarawat Guntithanon to act as his boyfriend. Sarawat, played by Bright Vachirawit Chivaaree, agrees to the arrangement, and Tine, played by Win Metawin Opas-iamkajorn, has a partner on paper before either of them has worked out what the arrangement is for.

The series is built around that agreement and what it does to two people who spend the whole of it being seen together. It is a romantic comedy set on a university campus, where the cheering squad and the guitar scene overlap, and the supporting group around the pair includes Green, Dim, Earn and Pear, played by Korawit Boonsri, Sivakorn Lertchuchot, Rachanun Mahawan and Pattranite Limpatiyakorn. Their friendships and rivalries fill the space between the two leads.

2gether: The Series ran for thirteen episodes on GMM 25 and LINE TV, every Friday from 21 February 2020 to 15 May 2020, and it was produced by GMMTV with Housestories 8 under the direction of Weerachit Thongjila. It is adapted from the Thai novel Phro Rao Khu Kan, published in 2019 under the English title Because We Belong Together, by JittiRain.

Two songs frame it. The opening theme is Tit Kap by Natthawut Jenmana, and the ending theme, Kan Goo, is sung by Bright himself. The story did not stop at the finale: it continued in the five episode Still 2gether later in 2020 and in the 2021 film 2gether: The Movie.
