Dancers bring the moves, and you can usually tell. People with this credit have worked in music videos, concert ensembles, stage shows or dance companies before or alongside screen work. In pop focused industries, ensemble dancing is a proper career with its own auditions, agencies and tours.
The road into BL and GL comes from several sides. Trained dancers often move into idol groups and then into acting, since the same companies develop both. Choreography also turns up inside the shows, in performance scenes, in promo music videos and at the concerts and fan events where cast members dance as well as sing.
