About this archive
Some people work in the industry and then go and build a piece of it. This credit marks people who founded or run their own business: a production company, a talent agency, a music label, a clothing line, a cafe or a merch shop, next to the screen or music work they are known for.
Two patterns pop up again and again. Established performers start a business on top of their public profile, often in fashion, food or beauty, where their fans already are. And working creatives set up companies so they can make the projects they want, which is how several smaller studios began.
Here you will find Khaotung Thanawat, Dunk Natachai, Earth Katsamonnat, Boss Chaikamon, Miko Gallardo, Aoftion Kittipat and others. My tip: keep this credit in mind when you read the rest of a profile. Producing through your own company is a different game from working on commission, and it often marks the moment a career turns from performing towards building.
