BIOGRAPHY
He Changxi (Chinese: 何昶希; born November 24, 1997) is a Chinese actor and singer from Yueyang, Hunan. He first gained national recognition in 2019 as a contestant on the iQIYI survival reality show Youth With You, where he placed ninth and debuted as a member of the boy band UNINE. After the group disbanded in 2020, he transitioned to acting, leading dramas such as Orange Soda (2024), Exchange Souls (2025) and Love of Petals (2025). In 2026 he starred as He Chusan in the Hong Kong-set BL drama Sammy’s Children’s Day, his first boys’ love lead, opposite He Yanzhao. He attended the 2026 Cannes Film Festival alongside his co-star in connection with the series.
He graduated from the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy, where he studied Chinese vocal music.
His screen credits began in 2020 with two films, Wuliang, in which he played Feng Ren, and Painted Skin: The Guo Jingming Edition, in which he played Wang Sheng. In 2021 he took the role of Ouyang Ke in the martial arts film The Legend of Condor Heroes: The Cadaverous Claw. Television followed with supporting parts as Gui Bai in Romance of a Twin Flower (2023) and Tang Jing Xing in Ready for Love? (2023), and then a lead as Yan Ci in Orange Soda (2024). That same year he also played Jiang Hao in Limited 72 Hours of Love and Yu Wen Yan in Ancient Workplace, Love Handbook. His busiest year was 2025. He led Love of Petals as Lu Geng Yun, Mystic Tales as Wu Jin, Ten Years of Unrequited Love as Cen Siyuan, Blend Feelings as Gu Jingshi, Lock Her as Dai Shiyao and Exchange Souls as Chen Yanzhi, six series released in a single year.
His music career began inside the group. UNINE put out an EP on May 6, 2019, toured Chinese cities with the RUN TO U fan meetings that summer, and closed the year with the EP UNUSUAL on October 21. Since the group ended he has kept singing alongside his acting, with the solo EP THE MAN in 2020, the single “Sneaky” in 2022 and two songs recorded with He Yanzhao for the soundtrack of Sammy’s Children’s Day.
Survival Show Graduate, Genre Hopper
He Changxi fought his way into UNINE as the ninth and final member on Youth With You in 2019, and he has been impossible to pin down ever since. A martial arts film as Ouyang Ke, a fantasy series, a workplace comedy, leads in Love of Petals and Ten Years of Unrequited Love: his filmography is all over the map, and 2025 alone brought six series. He trained in Chinese vocal music at the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy too, so his acting comes with a singer’s ear.
Orange Soda First, Cannes Later
Start with Orange Soda (2024), his first big lead as Yan Ci, then try Exchange Souls (2025) as Chen Yanzhi to see him handle a completely different setup. After that, you are ready for Sammy’s Children’s Day (2026), his first BL lead as He Chusan, a calculating yet devoted student pulled into the triad underworld, which asks him for more restraint than most of his earlier roles.
Partnered With He Yanzhao
His BL screen partner is He Yanzhao, and the two took their work on Sammy’s Children’s Day all the way to the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. They also sing together on its soundtrack, the theme song “Will You Come Back?” and the ending theme “Please Believe”, so fans can enjoy the pair with their ears as well as their eyes.
