Chinese BL Dramas: The Complete List (2026)

Chinese-language BL is three markets in one: Taiwan, Hong Kong and mainland China. The full list is below, newest first, followed by how each market releases its shows and where to watch.

This Chinese BL dramas list covers 31 Chinese-language BL series and films from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, plus the Singapore co-productions that sit beside them, with the latest release at the top and, for every entry, the year, the episode count and its streaming home. Chinese-language BL is not one market but three, and the list shows how differently each one releases its shows.

Three markets, three ways of releasing BL

Taiwan has 10 titles here and a long record: HIStory3: Trapped and HIStory3: Make Our Days Count both streamed on LINE TV in 2019 with 20 episodes each, and the film Your Name Engraved Herein reached Netflix on 30 September 2020. Kiseki: Dear to Me ran 13 episodes on the GTV channel in 2023, so Taiwan uses both television and streaming.

Hong Kong has 9 titles, and it is the only one of the three with theatrical BL on this list: Twilight’s Kiss opened in cinemas on 4 October 2019. Television is there too, with Ossan’s Love on ViuTV and The Taste of Us on TVB Jade. The newest is The Last Oath, 24 episodes from 4 September 2026 on Viki and GagaOOLala.

Mainland Chinese BL on this list is mostly web series, with Till I See You (13 episodes, from 10 September 2026) and The Missing Piece (15 episodes, from 7 September 2026) the latest. The best known mainland BL story, though, is a novel and not a live-action show. Mo Dao Zu Shi began as a web novel on Jinjiang Literature City in 2015, and the story has since become a manhua, a donghua on Tencent Video, WeTV and Crunchyroll, and the chibi spin-off Mo Dao Zu Shi Q.

Where to start with Chinese BL

Your Name Engraved Herein is the film to start with if you want something that has already been widely seen, because it is on Netflix. Sammy’s Children’s Day, a 2026 China and Hong Kong series with nine episodes on GagaOOLala, Viki and YouTube, carries the highest editor score on this list. Wishing Upon the Shooting Stars is the Taiwanese 2026 series to try, 12 episodes from 26 March.

Where to watch Chinese BL

GagaOOLala is the main route, with 15 of the 31 titles above. 10 are free on YouTube, 6 are on Viki and 4 on iQIYI. Youku carries Unknown and Ash. Rights change by country, so use each title page for the current route.
